On Podcasts

I haven’t owned a TV set for over 20 years but I have always been an avid consumer of podcast shows. As I shower in the morning or commute to work, or board a 8h flight overseas, I enjoy listening to fresh news, latest episodes on Linux, HAM radio, Python programming, or even Mindfulness.

Apps

There are many apps available, most of them cheap or even free (e.g. see Downcast, Snipd, Radio Public, etc.). Downcast has been my favorite for a long time, because of its playlists management and automatic “Play next in the list”. I have also explored Snipd a bit, but could really not fit its (automatic) speech-to-text transcript in my routine, despite being cool. I am currently testing the free version of Overcast.
